Who Says Video Game Consoles are for Lazy Fun? |

I was watching an old sitcom from a few years ago based in the 1980s. It followed the life of a group of teens in high school. There was the jock, burnouts and geeks. Of course the geeks had an Atari with Pong. In this specific episode, there was some comment from the kid’s dad that this kind of lazy entertainment would rot his brain. Back then that was the stereotype associated with video game consoles. A lot has changed since then. Now just about every retailer online who sells the Nintendo console also has at least one game based around living room fitness. Some of the best workouts occur in-house.
I have a friend who only works out at his place with nothing more then a chin-up bar and resistance straps. He is in better shape then me who goes to a gym. With a video game console, those with fitness titles basically have a free personal trainer. The price of such a title for the Nintendo console is about the same as one month of fees at a gym. The game lasts forever though.
