These challenging economic times have given cause for my daughter in law to return to the work force. My under school age grandson needed care while she worked so I offered my services. My son and daughter in law agreed that would be a good game plan for all involved.

So, every morning before the sun rises my daughter in law drops off my grandson at my doorstep. He is still very sleepy so I let him finish his rest on my couch until he rises naturally. This allows me to do some of my work at home projects before he and I get busy for the rest of the day. 

When my grandson rises there is no off switch until nap time. After breakfast we play Nintendo DS Lite. To my amazement I have learned that my grandson is quite good at the games offered by Nintendo DS Lite. He has even been able to show me a thing or two! We play Nintendo DS Lite games until lunch. We have a light meal and then I put him down for a nap. It is then that I can finish up some more housework or things in my home office.

When nap time is complete my grandson is gung ho to play more Nintendo DS Lite until his father picks him up in the late afternoon. We enjoy each other's company immensely. I am glad to help out my son and daughter in law but selfishly, I have to say, it really is a treat.
