Story of a Solider on a Video Game Console |

There I was surrounding on both sides dug in deep behind enemy territory. To my three o’clock, a gunship searching the grassy terrain below for the unknown soldier who had taken out three in fatigues sitting in a machine gun nest. If I kept still, huddled up against a three foot high concrete wall behind a blown out stable, there was no chance hot lead from the air would fall down and end my kill streak. I could hear someone coming up from the rear and slowly, switched to a silenced sub machine gun holstered in my right camouflaged holster. Dead ahead he was coming my way but had yet to identify my position. Rolling out a flash bang, boom, he crouched and blindly ducked for cover. It was too late; I was up charging him before dropping a quick clip into his side. At that moment, a sniper made the screen turn red and my kill streak ended.
Just another match on the video game console. It is amazing how immersive a game can be matched with a DVD home theater and flat screen. The video game console is my go tool for living a fantasy.
