The next generation video game consoles and the games that are made to be played on them have really been designed to take advantage of all that the wonderful offerings of technology have in store for us today. Just look on the back of the games that are out for the video game consoles of today, and you will easily see what I am talking about. Most are designed, as you will see, for surround sound systems and 1080p HDTVs. My point being that if you have never played a video game console using a surround sound system you may not know what kind of amazing experience that you have been missing out on all of these years. I tested out this theory about a year ago, when I finally moved my video game console into my living room from my home office to take advantage of the home theater speaker system that I had in there. After just a few hours of enjoying surround sound, I vowed to never play video games again in my office!
