Today when I was looking for new speakers for our home theater system, I ran across these and thought they were so cool. They're clear, so we can see what's inside them. I come from a long line of engineers and scientists, so I thought that my family members would get a kick out of these and they fit our contemporary home decorating, too. They are the SoundSticks II Multimedia Speaker System made by Harmon International Industries. This company has been around for years making speakers, among other things. I remember them from my childhood, a number of years ago.
According to the product description, these speakers will work with any audio device that has standard audio jacks. That means I could plug my MP3 player into it and enjoy the tunes I keep on it besides hooking them up to the home theater system. I found these versatile speakers for our home theater system at Northern Lites located at http://www.northernlites.biz. The Internet makes buying things for the home so easy and this site was no different. The checkout process was really fast and we're looking forward to getting good speakers for our home theater system.
These speakers are lightweight, too. The tall speakers weigh 1.5 pounds each and the subwoofer weights almost five pounds, so they'll be easy to move around, depending on where we want the home theater system. The centerpiece of our system is our HDTV and it weighs almost nothing. It's so much better to have the new digital TVs than the old CRTs for several reasons. First, the picture is awesome, and second, the TV is so lightweight we can put it anywhere. Last spring we decided to take the plunge before the digital channels all came online so we could take full advantage of the new channels and the improved technology.
Our experience with the new home theater system has been outstanding. We love the digital quality and can't wait to get these new speakers hooked up to it. We have a single family house so we can turn the volume up a little higher than apartment dwellers can. We want more volume, so we ordered additional speakers for the home theater system. We spent almost every night at home watching movies or documentaries over the summer and saved a fortune by not going to the theaters. The kids checked out lots of music DVDs from the library, too, which is how they did their part to save money on entertainment. When we get the new speakers, we'll be completely set up with a fine home theater system. |
