video game console<--Don't Mess with This Guy

There are more then a few video game console game developers who are having tough financial times in this unique economic situation. One of the companies hardest hit is a classic one. They brought us Mortal Kombat, Hydro Thunder and TNA Impact. Midway is on the auctioning block and Warner Brothers has taken interest. They have made the game developer an offer for 33 million dollars for the rights to Mortal Kombat among a few other games. Whether or not Midway will accept this offer is up in the air. The facts are Midway is bankrupt but they do own the rights to some classic video game console titles.

There is not a gamer on the planet who has not played Mortal Kombat at least once. It is one of those vintage titles that bring up different memories to different people. Movies were based of the game, apparel highlighted the all powerful Scorpion and countless action figures helped push the video game console fighter to ridiculous popularity. Are the rights worth more than 33 million dollars? I think so.
