video game console<--Pirates Attack Sims 3

Piracy is not just the arch enemy of Cargo ship crews sailing by the horn of Africa. It is killing many forms of media especially movies and music. One of the markets who have their fair share of problems but are still skating by is video games. For most, illegally downloading video games is above their pay grade. It is just more complex then clicking on a song you heard on the radio at some site. Piracy does hurt PC games though because they are immediately combatable and playable. As far as using a Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony video game console to play illegally downloaded games, further measures have to be taken to get the device to play such titles.

In recent video game console news, the latest pirate attack has been on The Sims 3, to be released next week. According to statesman.com, it was downloaded 180,000 times by May 21. By now that number is probably well over 200,000. This is not good for video game console developers who are already facing tough financial times. Help keep our game developers in business by not downloading new titles.
