video game console, home theater system I woke up this morning and looked forward to playing Map Pack 2 for Call of Duty: World at War on the 360 video game console. After getting some work done, it was time for some rest and relaxation. I flipped on the Xbox and signed in to my account. Nothing. The connection was broken. I ran a test and it said there was an internet connection. Scratching my head, I unplugged the router to see if a reboot would work. Five minutes later, the same thing happened. It wasn’t until I opened my eyes and saw the alert Microsoft had issued: June 16 there will be Xbox Live maintenance starting at 12 am for a possible 24 hours.

This is absolute video game console heartbreak. A little dramatic, I know. I wouldn’t care so much if I didn’t just download the new WaW map pack last night. I have my fingers crossed that Microsoft will feel the worldwide gamers’ pain and finish before midnight tonight. It looks like the home theater system will only be for movies today.
