Animal Crossing Wild World
nintendo ds lite, video game console In recent years, the second life idea of creating a little video game console world has really taken off. I don’t know if it is because now game developers are able to create massive environments to support such an idea or if more people just need an escape. Either way Nintendo DS Lite along with other consoles have seen extreme advancements in the open world title. For instance, Animal Crossing Wild World for the Nintendo DS Lite allows gamers to do everything from create a night sky star constellation to planting a flower in a village garden. This is not a new game but one that has stood out on the Nintendo DS Lite as a trend setter for creating your own little world.

As you will hear in the clip above which is true for most games like this, the time it takes to do everything is a long time. These aren’t games you could sit down and mow through in a day. Playing constantly for a month straight may not even expose all of the different tasks and village developments a game like this offers. Since the Nintendo DS Lite offers web capability, friends can get together, show off their village, run around a friends village and interact. The key to this is knowing someone else who has this game.

I first heard about this game from my roommate’s sister. Months back, his sister came to visit and brought along her Nintendo DS Lite. She is in early Junior High and like most kids of that age loves to take care of things. Back in my Junior High days, the big thing were Giga Pets or playing Sim City. Taking care of hand drawn looking Giga Pet was more work then I could handle and after awhile and it soon had little X’s over its eyes. Franchises like Animal Crossing take the second life concept to another level.

I was reminded of all this when looking around Northern Lites at http://www.northernlites.biz/. They have it for sale in the Nintendo DS Lite section. I think it would make a great gift for people who like these sorts of games. Here is what the product description said:

·  In this sequel to the wildly popular Nintendo GameCube game, players and up to three friends can hang out in the same village and interact in real time either through wireless LAN or over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Now players can visit a friend village from thousands of miles away.

·  Days and seasons pass in real time, so whether players want to decorate their homes, catch bugs or fish, collect brand-new items like hats and sunglasses or just chat with the wild and wacky characters in their villages, there always something to do.
