Final Fantasy Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is expected to more than just a mouth full. With an uncemented release date that some are predicting to be in December of 2009, the hype is already building. Final Fantasy in my opinion helped create a gamer base for past Nintendo consoles. The latest installment is being developed by a multitude of studios including Nintendo, Grasshopper Manufacture and Tecmo. All huge names. Expect upgraded RPG play utilizing the Wii remote.
The game will center around an eerie Rougetsu Island kidnapping. Characters will include those involved in the crime and of course detective Kirishima. Much work will have to be done in the haunted mansion as the story unfolds. From what video game console previews are saying this game will be best played loud and in the dark. The videos I have watched take the haunted mansion idea and run with it. Ghosts pop out at every corner and whispers from the other side will make your neck hair stand at full salute. The camera angle is third person but moves cinematically as things happen. Mask of the Lunar Eclipse is right at home on the Wii Nintendo console.
